Nanaska, a Sri Lankan professional education institute specialising in the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) qualification, has appointed Aubrey Joachim, FCMA, CGMA, MBA, to its Board as a Non-Executive Director.
Joachim brings extensive international experience in finance leadership, consulting, professional development and finance function transformation.
He served as Global President of CIMA from 2009 to 2010, becoming the first person from outside the United Kingdom and Ireland to lead the professional body in its then 90-year history.
Over a career spanning more than three decades, Joachim has held senior finance roles and worked with organisations and finance professionals across multiple international markets.
His experience has also given him a deep understanding of the transformation taking place within the finance profession, where finance functions are increasingly moving beyond traditional reporting and control towards strategic decision-making, business partnering and value creation.
The appointment is expected to strengthen Nanaska’s governance and support its continued focus on professional education and the development of future-ready finance professionals in Sri Lanka.
