Wasanthi Murugesu has marked a historic milestone in Sri Lanka’s civil aviation sector by becoming the first woman to serve as a Security Marshal at Airport & Aviation Services Sri Lanka (Private) Limited.

Her appointment represents an important step forward for women in aviation security, a field that plays a critical role in safeguarding passengers, airport operations and the wider aviation ecosystem.
