ACL, the Bangladesh subsidiary of JAT Holdings PLC, has acquired a strategic site in Singair, marking another significant milestone in the Group’s long term expansion strategy in Bangladesh. Bangladesh has become a key contributor to JAT Holdings, generating around 30 percent of the Group’s revenue. Since entering the market in 2001, the company has steadily expanded its footprint through manufacturing investments, vertical integration, market development and enduring customer relationships. Today, ACL holds the leading position in Bangladesh’s industrial wood coatings market, supported by its strong portfolio of brands. (Daily Mirror)

The newly acquired site in Singair, located in the Manikganj District near Dhaka, is expected to enhance ACL’s manufacturing and warehousing capabilities while improving logistics and supply chain efficiency. Its proximity to major industrial customers and key transport links will enable faster deliveries, stronger inventory management and greater responsiveness to evolving customer requirements. Commenting on the acquisition, Nishal Ferdinando, Chief Executive Officer of JAT Holdings PLC, said the investment demonstrates the company’s commitment to building long term operational resilience and capacity in Bangladesh, rather than focusing solely on short term sales. He noted that the Singair facility provides the flexibility needed to support the next phase of the Group’s expansion in the country. (Daily Mirror)

Shamara Wanniarachchi, Director and Country Head Bangladesh of JAT Holdings PLC, highlighted that integrating manufacturing, warehousing and customer servicing from the new location would improve operational coordination, strengthen inventory planning and support sustainable growth. The investment is also expected to benefit employees through reduced commuting times while reinforcing ACL’s position to capitalise on Bangladesh’s expanding construction and industrial sectors.
