The National Business Excellence Awards (NBEA) 2026, organised by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL), concluded successfully at the Shangri-La Colombo, marking the 21st consecutive year of one of the country’s most respected business recognition programmes.

Held under the theme “Excellence Forged Through Resilience,” the prestigious awards ceremony brought together leading business executives, entrepreneurs and distinguished guests to celebrate outstanding organisational achievements across Sri Lanka. The event was graced by His Excellency Rémi Lambert, Ambassador of France to Sri Lanka and the Maldives, who attended as the Chief Guest and commended the achievements of the nominees while recognising the Chamber’s contribution to promoting business excellence.

Delivering the welcome address, Anura Warnakulasooriya, President of the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka, highlighted the importance of recognising organisations that demonstrate resilience, innovation and sustainable growth. Senior Professor Ajantha Dharmasiri, Co-Chairman of the Panel of Judges, outlined the rigorous and transparent evaluation process adopted for the awards.

This year’s competition attracted more than 105 nominees across 31 business sectors, with assessments conducted by an independent Panel of Judges supported by the Technical and Financial Evaluation Committee.

Since its inception in 2004, the National Business Excellence Awards has continued to recognise organisations that excel in business performance, governance and innovation while making a significant contribution to Sri Lanka’s economic development. The 2026 edition once again reaffirmed the Chamber’s commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and inspiring businesses to compete on both national and international stages.
