More than 300 members of BNI Sri Lanka and the global BNI network gathered at Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo for the BNI Sri Lanka National Conference 2026, the organisation’s flagship annual event celebrating entrepreneurship, innovation and business excellence.

The conference featured keynote addresses by Otara Gunewardene, Founder of Odel and Embark, and Rajendran Dandapani, Director of Zoho Corporation and President of Zoho Schools of Learning, India. Otara shared lessons from building Odel into one of Sri Lanka’s leading retail brands before launching Embark, emphasising resilience and innovation.

Rajendran introduced his ABC Framework for AI Optimisation, encouraging businesses to know when to Accelerate, Brake and Control the use of artificial intelligence to maximise value while maintaining human judgement.

The event was attended by Hemu Suvarna, National Director of BNI Sri Lanka, alongside senior BNI leaders. Organised by a volunteer committee led by Pravinth Deepan, the conference reinforced BNI’s commitment to helping entrepreneurs grow through trusted relationships and its Givers Gain® philosophy.
