LB CIM Launches Next Generation Virtual Debit Card to Transform Digital Payments

LB CIM, the flagship digital lifestyle and financial platform of LB Finance PLC, has introduced its next generation Virtual Debit Card, strengthening its position as a leader in Sri Lanka’s rapidly evolving digital payments landscape. Powered by UnionPay, the new solution enables customers to make secure online purchases, contactless payments and digital transactions directly through the LB CIM mobile application without requiring a physical card.

The launch represents another milestone in LB CIM’s digital transformation journey, following a series of innovations designed to simplify financial services while improving convenience and security for users. The virtual card provides instant access to digital payments, enhanced protection through advanced security features and seamless integration with the platform’s expanding range of financial and lifestyle services.

Commenting on the launch, Niroshan Udage, Managing Director of LB Finance PLC, said the organisation remains committed to delivering innovative financial technologies that respond to the evolving needs of customers while promoting digital financial inclusion. He noted that the continued evolution of LB CIM reflects the company’s vision of providing a comprehensive digital banking experience built on trust, convenience and technological excellence.

The Virtual Debit Card also supports NFC enabled Tap to Pay transactions at compatible payment terminals, allowing customers to complete purchases quickly and securely using their smartphones. In addition, users can access a broad range of services through the LB CIM platform, including bill payments, fund transfers, savings and fixed deposits, GovPay services, digital gifting and AI powered personal loans.

With the latest launch, LB CIM continues to reinforce Sri Lanka’s transition towards a cashless economy while expanding access to secure, innovative and customer centric digital financial services.
