Dialog Launches Dialog Pay to Accelerate Sri Lanka’s Digital Payment Revolution

Published on

Dialog Axiata PLC, Sri Lanka’s leading connectivity provider, has launched Dialog Pay, a new integrated digital payments and financial services platform within the MyDialog App, reinforcing its commitment to accelerating digital transformation and financial inclusion across the country.

The launch aligns with the Government of Sri Lanka’s recently introduced Lanka QR Payment Promotion Programme, supporting national efforts to increase the adoption of secure digital payments while building a more inclusive digital economy.

Dialog Pay combines connectivity, payments and financial services within a single platform, enabling customers to make seamless Lanka QR payments, transfer funds, manage digital wallets, open savings accounts and fixed deposits, and apply for loans powered by Dialog Finance. Customers can activate the service using either their eZ Cash account or by linking their preferred bank account, eliminating the need to switch between multiple applications for everyday financial transactions.

Built on one of Sri Lanka’s largest digitally enabled merchant ecosystems, Dialog Pay provides access to more than 100,000 retail outlets, including supermarkets, restaurants, fashion retailers, electronics stores, healthcare providers and neighbourhood businesses. The platform enables consumers to make secure and convenient payments while helping merchants participate in the country’s expanding digital economy.

To encourage greater adoption, eligible Lanka QR payments made through Dialog Pay will reward customers with complimentary Dialog mobile data, promoting regular use of digital payments.

Commenting on the launch, Supun Weerasinghe, Group Chief Executive of Dialog Axiata PLC, said Dialog Pay reflects the company’s commitment to enriching and empowering Sri Lankan lives through technology by making digital payments and financial services simpler, more accessible and rewarding. He also commended the Government of Sri Lanka, the Ministry of Digital Economy, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and LankaPay for their continued leadership in advancing the nation’s digital payments ecosystem.

The launch of Dialog Pay marks another significant milestone in Dialog’s digital innovation journey, strengthening Sri Lanka’s transition towards a connected, cashless and digitally empowered economy.
