Anil Gunamuni has been appointed as Head of Tour Operations & Quality Assurance at Walkers Tours Limited and Assistant Vice President at John Keells Holdings PLC, marking another significant milestone in his distinguished career in Sri Lanka’s travel, tourism and hospitality industry.

A dynamic and results driven executive, Gunamuni brings extensive experience in tourism operations, quality assurance, finance and corporate management. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong ability to drive operational excellence, enhance customer satisfaction and lead strategic initiatives that strengthen organisational performance across the travel and hospitality sectors.

Recognised for his steady progression from Finance Manager to senior leadership, Gunamuni has successfully integrated financial discipline with operational excellence to improve profitability, governance and long term business sustainability. His expertise spans quality assurance, strategic planning, business analysis, budgeting, forecasting, performance management, stakeholder engagement, business transformation and process improvement.

An accomplished finance professional, he has played a pivotal role in implementing quality assurance frameworks, improving service delivery standards and managing large scale operations while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and customer focused innovation.

Gunamuni holds a Master of Business Management from the University of Colombo, together with a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting and Finance and an Executive Diploma in Business and Finance Administration from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka.
