Mercedes-Benz Unveils All-Electric C-Class at Global Premiere in Seoul

Published on

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled its all-electric C-Class sedan at a world premiere in Seoul, marking a significant milestone in the company’s transition towards sustainable mobility and reinforcing its commitment to the growing electric vehicle (EV) market in Asia.

The launch highlights South Korea’s strategic importance to the luxury carmaker, with top executives, including Group Chairman Ola Källenius, attending the event. The new electric C-Class blends a coupe-inspired silhouette with advanced digital features and a distinctive illuminated grille, reflecting the brand’s evolving design language.

The vehicle offers a driving range of up to 762 kilometres on a single charge, based on WLTP standards, and supports rapid charging, enabling approximately 325 kilometres of range within just 10 minutes. The model is equipped with Mercedes-Benz’s latest MB.OS system, integrating infotainment, driving, and autonomous functions into a unified digital ecosystem.

While the company has not disclosed its final battery suppliers, it indicated plans to expand partnerships with Korean firms, including Samsung SDI and LG Energy Solution. This aligns with its broader strategy to diversify its EV supply chain and accelerate innovation.

The global debut underscores Mercedes-Benz’s ambition to lead in the premium EV segment while strengthening its presence in key international markets.
