The Employers’ Federation of Ceylon National Best Employer Awards 2025 was successfully held on Tuesday 20 under the distinguished patronage of Santosh Jha, Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, who served as Chief Guest. The event marked an important milestone in recognising organisations that demonstrate excellence in people centric leadership and responsible employment practices in Sri Lanka.
Organised by the EFC, the awards honoured organisations for outstanding performance in strategic human resource management, ethical governance, digital innovation, and meaningful contributions to national socio economic development. The programme featured a keynote address delivered via video message by Dave Ulrich, widely regarded as the Father of Modern Human Resources, who highlighted the pillars required to build sustainable organisations. International Labour Organisation Country Director for Sri Lanka and the Maldives Joni Simpson emphasised social dialogue and inclusive workplaces, while Guest of Honour Ravi Peiris underscored the employer role in resilient labour markets.
Best Employer Award winners included Aitken Spence PLC, Brandix Apparel Ltd., Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC, Dialog Axiata PLC, Hatton National Bank PLC, Hayleys PLC, Hemas Holdings, John Keells Holdings PLC, Nestlé Lanka Ltd., and Toyota Lanka Ltd.. Honourable Mentions were awarded to Ceylon Tobacco Company PLC, Chevron Lubricants Lanka PLC, Haleon Lanka Ltd., Lion Brewery Ceylon PLC, and South Asia Gateway Terminals Ltd.
