Sri Lanka Welcomes Mein Schiff Six, Marking a Strong Signal of Tourism Recovery

Sri Lanka welcomed the luxury cruise ship Mein Schiff Six with more than two thousand international passengers, marking the first major tourist movement since the recent disaster. Reported by Daily FT, the arrival sent a clear message that Sri Lanka is safe, open, and ready to host visitors. Many passengers praised Sri Lankan hospitality, with several expressing plans to return. Over one thousand six hundred travellers explored destinations such as Galle, Kalutara, Colombo and Madu Oya through organised excursions. Officials said the successful operation demonstrates the strength of Sri Lanka’s tourism sector and reflects renewed global confidence in the island nation.
